About Us
This blog came out of our experiences of learning the best way to help others in the low-income community. Mary and I began our journey serving in 1976 and now feel the need to share the lessons that we have learned. We made a lot of mistakes along the way, but we have discovered when helping really helps.
We began our work as a volunteer with Youth for Christ and later moved into a full-time position though Youth For Christ's internship program. We served in Memphis, Tuscaloosa, Nashville and from 1985 in Huntsville, AL. Our involvement carried us to some of the poorest communities in those communities and we discovered that God values all and everyone has great worth in His Kingdom.
